The Longleat Haybale Slide

Well, this was a particularly fun project to work on.

We love a challenge and building a 3 meter high slide from scratch certainly ticked that box.

We were approached by Longleat to discover whether we would be able to design and install an extra large Haybale (or Straw Bale for the eagle eyed amongst us) to form part of their Autumn Half Term activities in the Long House.

Of course we obliged!

Our team came up with a solid and sturdy design and then got to work in the workshop, building, sawing, sanding, sticking and drilling.

With the support of an extra large forklift truck and our trusty team of Carpenters and fabricators in place to help us build the installation on-site.

From concept through to design, creation and of course, the expert delivery, the Melt Productions team took care of it all.

This truly was a piece of art!

Big thanks to our team of crew and carpenters for pulling this one out the bag!
